MAWTT is 5!!! With a blog hop and prizes!

A very BIG happy birthday to Hazel and the ladies at MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES!! Five years is no mean feat in this industry.  I wasn't able to play along with the hop and will be taking a 'summer break' from the team but really wanted to show my appreciate to such a great group of girls.

DS4J challenge 94 Flowers

It's a happy theme today at Digistamps4Joy and we ask you to pick some of your favourite flower images and embellishments!!

FLOWERS FLOWERS FLOWERS!

I used the DS4J image "Tag 1" to make the focal layer of my card:

I first coloured the flowers with white wax crayon and then rubbed distress ink (mustard seed) all over. Take a tissue and then just rub lightly over the wax again to remove any ink residue. I haven't done this technique in so long and I it's definitely going to pop up a lot more.

It's that time of year again where we celebrate Great Dads!!  My Dad passed away 6 years ago and the day has a tinge of sadness but at the same time I'm so grateful that my kids have their Dad!

I wasn't able to post my card last week for DS4J challenge #93 GIRLY OR FEMININE but here it is as part of the reminder post!

I usually look for an alternative approach to a challenge but one that still fits with the theme. One challenge is to look for a CAS approach but in this case I wanted to make something feminine but serious:
