MAWTT is 5!!! With a blog hop and prizes!

A very BIG happy birthday to Hazel and the ladies at MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES!! Five years is no mean feat in this industry.  I wasn't able to play along with the hop and will be taking a 'summer break' from the team but really wanted to show my appreciate to such a great group of girls.

SO everyone who stumbles onto my blog (and thanks for visiting!!) won't you head over to MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES and hop and play along!

I used for my card the inspiration from Vicky's card to case at the AAA cards challenge (Game 8) as well.
Here's Vicky's gorgeous card again:
Stamps used:
Shaded strip made with masking edges and Tim Holtz (Wild Honey) distress ink.

Love and hugs to all

DS4J challenge 94 Flowers

It's a happy theme today at Digistamps4Joy and we ask you to pick some of your favourite flower images and embellishments!!

I used the DS4J image "Tag 1" to make the focal layer of my card:
I first coloured the flowers with white wax crayon and then rubbed distress ink (mustard seed) all over. Take a tissue and then just rub lightly over the wax again to remove any ink residue. I haven't done this technique in so long and I it's definitely going to pop up a lot more.

Background stamped with Unity Kits November 2013 & January 2014
Sentiment: Unity's itty bitty "A lovely butterfly day"

MAWTT challenge - Father's Day

It's that time of year again where we celebrate Great Dads!!  My Dad passed away 6 years ago and the day has a tinge of sadness but at the same time I'm so grateful that my kids have their Dad!

Moving Along With The Times are celebrating Dads in their new challenge so please join us!

I used two digital images from Digistamps4Joy and a digital "coloring picture" (for the waves):

DS4J challenge #93 Girly or Feminine

I wasn't able to post my card last week for DS4J challenge #93 GIRLY OR FEMININE but here it is as part of the reminder post!

I usually look for an alternative approach to a challenge but one that still fits with the theme. One challenge is to look for a CAS approach but in this case I wanted to make something feminine but serious:
The fan (from DS4J) opens up to reveal the sentiment:
