Sleigh-Hey London (FMS317)

Here's a special card for a very special someone :)  You know who you are 💓

You have been with me through thick and thin. You encourage me every day to follow my dreams and assure me that I have what it takes to cope with each day. May it be a very Merry and Blessed Christmas to you and I will see you soon to put this in your hand!
I wanted to challenge myself to make a masculine shaker card as well. Extra fine glitter with silhouette images did the trick.

I used Freshly Made Sketches number 317.  I turned it upside down so that I can have Santa flying high!

God bless!

Thanks pocket (CTS251)

I am so happy to play with Cas(e) this Sketch again. It's been too long ....

Sentiment from Unity Stamp Company.
Die-cut from Spellbinders; including pocket made from a Spellbinders frame die-cut and scored with Scor-pal to shape the pocket.
Butterflies die-cuts from Joy! Crafts.

It's annual summer holidays here in South Africa and I hope to craft some more in the coming week!!

God bless

A great floral day

A relatively quick card with some straight stamping and cut-out flowers:

Sentiment is an old one from Unity Stamp Company and floral stamp from Gina K Designs.

God bless

Merry Christmas with a cuppa

My regular coffee shop hangout is Cafe Fino in Strubensvalley (South Africa) and the staff there are like family.  It's also like my 2nd office :) Or maybe more like HQ....

I made this card for them to celebrate Christmas and to say thank you for their kind service through the year:

The cups were stamped, shaded roughly with ink pads and foam applicators. Some white gel pen added for highlighting and colouring. The 'string' is hand drawn with some liquid pearls.

If you would like to know the mug stamp I used (it also comes with a teacup-and-saucer) please leave a comment below.

The sentiment is from a Unity Stamp Company set.

Thank you for visiting!

PACMAN! with CTS234

It was really funny when my kids asked, "Mom! Do you KNOW Pacman?!"  Ooooh yes. For those interested, Pacman was released in May 1980!

When I saw the Cas(e) this Sketch #234 I immediately saw Pacman!

Sentiment from discontinued Unity Stamp Co set. The ghosts are line images printed from the web and colored and the rest are die-cuts and punch circles.
Here's the sketch? See it?  :D

 Hope all are well.
God bless

Sea sickness

Here's a quick and easy simple journal page.  I found I like simple and plain easier to do than try and mimic fancy, busy ones.

Sitting under a tree sounds like a pretty good idea at the moment :)

God bless all

Seas the Day (CTS233)

Here's a quick sliding in at the end with Cas(e) the Sketch #233!!  Thank you Hannelie for a great sketch!

I decided to go one-layer as well (daring, I know!)

I made a boo-boo when stamping the sentiment. I inked on the edge of the rubber stamp and that ended up being the right-wing of the 'bird'. I added another wing to make the bird.

Boat stamp (paper pieced) :  Unity Stamp Co "Life is a beautiful ride"
Sentiment: Unity Stamp Co Spirit of Summertime (KOM Jul 2013)

Hope all is well!

Flower life

I was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. It sure puts things into perspective. 3 weeks ago I had a total thyroidectomy and this morning I came out of hospital after my radioactive iodine therapy (which is another story). But one realises that along the path of life there are often things that end so that something else can begin. I might have lost my thyroid but I have to focus on new beginnings.  I made a small journal page to remind me:

My page used flowers from GinaK Design, A Year of Flowers 1, all paper pieced with hand-drawn stems. Quote is my own.

This is a new journey and still some outstanding tests and answers, but hopefully this is a new road to recovery.

God bless you all

A special birthday

My great-aunt is turning 97 and my Mom requested a special card for her. I pulled out my lace and lots of florals from GinaK Designs.  My good 'ol Spellbinders dies were dusted off for this one.

Looks like everyone in the Northern Hemisphere is celebrating summer. Here it's not been nearly cold enough for winter!

Summery Salute with CTS230

Here's a quick salute to summer with Case this Sketch & Sunday Stamps (links below).
I used two very old images I googled with a sentiment from Unity Stamps "Basically Said" set. All three panels are on three different levels. I turned the CTS sketch side-ways so that it fit the dimensions of my images.

Trust you are all well.

Life in the moments (CtS 228)

I was so inspired by the sketch at Case The Sketch #228 that I wanted to try another one:

Sentiment stamp:  Unity Stamp Co

CAS Colours & Sketches 229

Greetings all

A quick card following the latest sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches (links below):
I used the larger tree for the main focus element and then the smaller tree with stamping off as the 2nd and 3rd elements.

Freshly Made Sketches #293

Here's another kick-starter card I made today using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #293!

Here's the sketch:

I used 3 sized die-cuts (Spellbinders) from matching papers to create the right-hand side decorative area and over-stamped it with a butterfly stamp (after stamping off excess ink) to tie it together.

The sentiment and butterfly stamp is from an old Kit of the Month  "Be your own kind of Beautiful" (1/14) of Unity Stamps.

Be well.

Snowboard Santa

I was looking for a cool image for a teenager and found this gem at Mo's Digital Pencil:
