Another Scor-Pal box

I LOVE making these little boxes. They are quick and easy to make and so much fun to decorate. This box is for my youngest sister who loves everything Vintage. And for those who were curious, in front is one of the chocolate bars inside (same as my other sister got) :D
I've updated the dimensions below and in the previous Scor-Pal box post.

Here are the dimensions I used with my Scor-Pal:

The flower was made with Spellbinders Rose Creations and mounted on a circle and scalloped circle die from Spellbinders. The paper is BasicGrey.

Scor-Pal Box & Rosette

This little box (the bottom box's dimension is 4 1/4" x 6") was made to hold some handmade chocolate bars for my sister.

It had to be 1" high so I worked out the dimensions as follows:

I used my Scor-Pal and scored according to the grid.

My rosette on the box was scored at 1/2" intervals.
The leaves are from Spellbinders "Leaves".
The paper is Basic Grey. One side was used for the top, the other for the sides.
The paper sizes to cover the box were:
* Top: 4 3/8" x 6 1/8"
* Long sides: 1" x 6 1/8" (cut two)
* Short sides: 1" x 4 3/8" (cut two)

This year's Christmas wrapping

Each year I wrap all my gifts according to a theme or colour scheme. There was one year when the gift tags didn't have names but a photo of the recipient. The kids in the family LOVED that! Last year I went through a Furoshiki phase (I still love it but I don't repeat the same thing twice). Read more about Furoshiki HERE. I use Furoshiki bags every day and if you have a big enough square cloth you can literally fit the kitchen sink in there.

This year I'm going for something different. I got this gorgeous paper at Flowerspot (www.flowerspot.co.za) and it is very romantic. Combined with it is a beautiful deep purple satin ribbon. The tags are stamped with Calendar Bits & Pieces and a flower from Faithful Florals (all from GinaK Designs). The tags are attached with purple stitched ribbon.

Advent calendar

I saw how to make this last year in the Ideas magazing (www.ideasmag.co.za). When my little boy discovered it a while back where I had stashed it, he pulled off all the dates and beads that I had on the lids. This morning I remembered that I still had to fix it!

I used Tami Mayberry's Calendar Bits & Pieces for the dates and The Vine for the leaves and flowers (both sets available at GinaK Designs - See "stamps I use" link)
