MAWTT Challenge - Punch (or die-cut) it out!!

It's my second contribution for Moving Along With The Times and our new challenge is to

I love my "Leaves" Spellbinders dies. There are very different leaves in it and can be quite versatile when you start playing around with them.

Our very generous sponsor is:

It was really hard to pick an image to play with, but this one popped! Now it's getting hard to choose which one to give my little girl for her 6th birthday!
I DOUBLE paper-pieced her skirt. There is a full bottom layer and then I added a second layer on top with only the "top" skirt cut out and popped up with 3d foam. It's not too clear on the photo but I added some Glossy Accents (Ranger) on the ballerina slippers.

Colored using Spectrum Noir.

So come on over and play with us at MAWTT!

The Giving Tree - that keeps on giving!

My sister's favorite book as a child was "The Giving Tree". Even though she read the Afrikaans translation. So when I saw The Giving Tree at GinaK Designs it went to the top of my wish list and it was my Christmas gift to me!

I had SO MUCH FUN making these and your combinations are so versatile!

Apple tree: Added some Glossy Accents (Ranger) to the apples
Swinging: Added some twine to the swing
Bird house: Popped a second image of the bird house on top and punch a hole through the front for more dimension. Click on image to enlarge.
Fruit tree: Added Glossy Accents again.

Moving Along with the Times challenge! - Birthdays

I am so HAPPY to be taking part in my first MAWTT design team posting!  The challenge is:

The sponsor for this challenge is: http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ and we were given some images to play with. I chose the cute Bonnet Day and since my little girl's 6th birthday is coming up I made this with her in mind :D
For the first time I figured out how to print on 6x6 DP with my printer so that I could paper piece her dress!! I'm quite happy with the result.
If you click on the photo for a close-up you'll see that I also popped up a piece of the birthday note on her bonnet.
The flower was cut from felt with my Spellbinders Rose Creations.

So make some birthday cards for the loved ones coming up and join us at Moving Along With the Times!!

Digistamps Challenge #58: How time flies!

Welcome to the first challenge for 2013 at Digistamps4Joy!!  Our challenge is your interpretation of:
Oh My!! How time flies!!

We just returned from a whirlwind road trip covering over 3000 kilometers in 6 days. And I'm sure you'll agree that time flies when you're having fun! Like a beach holiday ... even if it was just one night :D

I made this card for one of my best friends whose birthday was on Monday (7th). Happy Birthday again, Lianne!!
