Cool Boy

Here's a cute card using the great Unity set Mr Boy and A Little Destination:
I shaded the open lined text with two colours (darker on top). I love this effect and then covered it with Glossy Accents.

Hope he'll like it!

DS4J Challenge #76: Color challenge with a twist (twine / ribbon)

The talented Margaret is hosting the new challenge at Digistamps4Joy!  It's a COLOR CHALLENGE WITH A TWIST TO ADD TWINE OR RIBBON.
Here's the inspiration picture showing the colors you can play with:
I admit I'm usually rubbish when it comes to color challenges. I think I'm "color-dyslexic". I can look at a color and then remember it differently (drives my hubby insane). But I loved the purplish blue & spot of yellow orange.
The DP might have a tad too much pink in it but I had one of these papers left from a paper pack featuring similar birds as the inspiration photo!

Lego birthday!

Here's a specialized card for a boy that loves Lego (who doesn't!). I thought I'd give him a history lesson while I was at it LOL. The background is a copy of the patent (1979!) for the Lego figures.
The sentiment can be flipped over to see behind and a little Lego block is glued down on the edge. Sentiment from Unity Could I be any Cuter

The Lego Block was patented in the US in 1958!

To the stars!

Here's another boy birthday card (lots of boy birthdays at church!):
Covered all the stars with Sekura Stardust pen...

Sentiment: Papertrey Ink "Think Big Favorites #12"

Things that GO!

I love making little boy cards. They are so much fun and I recently got the COOLEST sets from Unity for this.
The vehicles on the bottom is from MR BOY and the flying airplane with banner is from A Little Destination.
I just dragged my black ink pad at the bottom for the tar road and all the bottom vehicles were stamped separately and cut out.

OLW #2: Beautiful

Here's my 2nd card for OLW Silhouettes.
Sentiment: Unity http://unitystampco.com/shop/love-the-little-things-kom-613/
Florals: GinaK Designs Tropical Flowers

OLW #1: Miss You

I've been tracking One Layer Wednesday for quite some time now (especially though Heather's amazing creations) and finally got the guts to play along.
This week's theme is Silhouettes.

One of my dreams is to visit France one day when I'm not too old and cranky! Oooh the Cuisine (check my food blog here), the Culture, the History!! But for now I'll just enjoy this image by Unity (from Everyday Fairytale). Sentiment from A little Destination.

Snowboard Santa

I was looking for a cool image for a teenager and found this gem at Mo's Digital Pencil:  http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/snowboard-sant...
