MAWTT: BOYS!

It's one of my favorite themes for the new Moving Along With The Times challenge!!
BIRTHDAY BOYS
I used a designed paper background from Scrap Collections and the airplane from Unity's  Mr.Boy just went so nicely with it!
Sentiment from GinaK Designs Garden Silhouettes

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #61
I hope you'll play along with us.

Use, re-use and recyle

The other day I made a die-cut card where I used the negative of a butterfly cut and added smaller butterflies over it. I used the wonderful sketch from Clean & Simple #274. I really like how the card came out and it seemed to have been quite popular so I decided to make the ladies birthday cards for February (at church) with the same layout. I realised that I'm going to be sitting with a lot of off-cut butterflies so decided to use the off-cuts on another card (for the anniversaries). And here's how it came out:

1.  The original negative and positive die-cut butterflies
Sentiment from Unity's "Everything Wonderful"
All papers were from the same paperpack, Prima "Meadow Lark". Doing this technique works best with co-ordinated papers.

2.  Using the "off-cut" butterflies:
Sentiment: GinaK Designs "All Occasion Tags"

But that's not all.... You noticed that I die-cut smaller butterflies in the first card. What happened to the negative?   You'll have to wait and see in a future post what I did with those :D

DS4J Challenge 84 Ribbon

It's time to take out that Ribbon Stash and play along with Digistamps4Joy's REAL RIBBON challenge!!

I used the gorgeous DS4J image "Wedding Bouquet" as my main image which I framed with a die-cut negative (see if you can find the original die-cut in a previous post LOL)
The sentiment is from Unity Stamp's September Kit of the Month.

So pull out those forgotten or much-loved ribbons and play along please!

TTCRD: super cool!

It's that time again for a DT card for the Through The Craft Room Door challenge! It's Anything Goes (rules apply) and here goes my card:
I Googled for vintage car backgrounds ('black & white' + 'line image') and this came up in the results. It linked me to Flickr (which was a first) and I got permission from the person who sourced the image to publish. So here's that link:

The sentiment is from Unity Stamps Company - "Mr. Boy".  I decided to colour one car in for some contrast.

Please join us this week at TTCRD!

DS4J challenge # 83: Glitter & Sparkle

Apologies to my team for the late post of the card for DS4J's GLITTER & SPARKLE challenge! I was a bit sick and then we had a major power outage (almost 24hours)!

So quickly without further ado:
This was a bit tricky to photograph since the sentiment die-cut is INSIDE the card and I cut the front through the DP and cardbase.
Here's the sentiment if you would like to use it - maybe even for our challenge!! That would be AWESOME!

Image: Dragonfly

Hugs to all (and warm wishes especially to my friends in the Northern Hemisphere - I'm keeping an eye on the weather reports).

I was looking for a cool image for a teenager and found this gem at Mo's Digital Pencil:  http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/snowboard-sant...
