Here is a very special card made for a very special lady. Rita, if you might stumble over here before your birthday... Look Away!! LOL (I don't think she's on the Web but just in case). Rita is the very dedicated lady who keeps track of all the birthdays and anniversaries at church. So I hand the cards I make for the following month to her, she gets them inscribed by the pastor and then hands them out as the birthdays happen. She shyly asked me a while back if I could make her a different card than the rest of the June birthdays and have it inscribed and then give it to her for her birthday as a surprise. What a pleasure.
This classy vintage image I found here a while back and it just popped out to be used for this card:

Light coloring with Spectrum Noir (Turquoises & some naturals) leaving the background black & white.
This adorable little die-cut envelope (with lining!) is from Marianne Designs. The lace is from a little stash I inherited from my grandmother who used to make fabric dolls when I was little.
Leaves die-cuts are from Spellbinders ("Leaves").
Sentiment above the name is from GinaK Designs (Petals & Wings).
Background DP is from We R Memory Keepers (Vintage Chiq)

How exciting is this! Lily Pad Cards' are also celebrating their first anniversary! And what a great honor to be part of the blog hop t...
Riette this is just such a gorgeous vintage creation and I love the monochrome colouring. Its so creative the way you did the sentiment in the mini envelope on the front. Rita is going to treasure this card and maybe even frame it.
