CTS #114

Sometimes a sketch seems deceptively simple until you get started. I LOVED this sketch from Cas(e) this Sketch because it actually has so many different approaches. But when I started nothing seemed to go right! I had about 3 flops that ended up in the bin but in the end I was quite happy with the result! This was tricky to photograph because the sentiment was stamped in black Stazon on clear plastic which was adhered to the frame from the back. The frame was then popped up with foam tape so it floats above the background cardstock:
The background cardstock was heat embossed in clear with the flourish stamp (Scrappy Cat - Tender Flourishes) and shaded with Fired Brick distress ink.
A little embellishment to round it off. The rose was dabbed with Fired Brick too to match the flourish & background.
The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink Spiral Bouquet

Here's the clever CTS sketch:

This also fits in with Happy Little Stamper's CAS challenge - Sponging!
Have a good one!

  3. So gorgeous Riette! Love the white embossed flourishes with the sponging over top ... soft and delicate. And great idea to add the frame with acetate (just like glass in a frame!!). Thanks for playing along with Happy Little Stampers.
