UNITY GIU Day 3

Today is bitter-sweet for our family.  My younger sister is moving to Canada!! After a year's planning the day has finally arrived. (I'm from South Africa for those who don't know.)  So this is a BIG deal.  I'm so grateful for technology that shrunk the world that she'll always be a call or message away.

On to my Day 3 card for Unity's Growing In Unity!!

Let's take it easy today and wiggle our toes:

I stamped the sentiment and a black print of the flip flop image onto white cardstock. I then stamped three versions of the flip flops in different colours and cut them all out. They are popped up with foam tape onto the bottom print.
I've been waiting for the right time to use this pretty ribbon and the colours went together perfectly. Reminds me of sea breeze & waves.....

Reminder: 2 lucky persons who comment on my GIU posts this week will win 25 random stamps from Unity!!

Hugs to all

xxx

  7. I like the flip flops, especially being a Florida girl. Your sister will be a click away with all of the technology, but it doesn't compare to having her near.

  23. It's hard bidding farewell for a time to loved ones, but as you say the world has shrunk. It is wonderful that you will still be able to keep in close contact.

  25. I love that ribbon bow too! Such a gorgeous color, and perfect for a beachy theme. Love that you stamped the flip flops twice, then popped up the colored ones. Gives that added bit of depth without too much bulk. TFS

  28. Hi, Riette, ek verstaan hoe jy voel oor daai suster wat Kanada toe is - my tweelingsussie is in New Zealand, maar ja, gelukkig is die wereld deesdae klein met Skype en al die ander tegnologie!!!! Dink aan jou!!!
Jou kaartjie is tog te oulik!!! Laat wens my die somer wil vinniger kom!!!! Mal oor die pragtige strik!!!
