Birthday wishes with floral fabric

This card is using CPS's sketch # 118 for the Day 12 (!!) challenge on their 5th anniversary.
Here's the link: http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2012/02/cps-5th-anniversary-day-12-with-lisa.html
I immediately saw a fabric rosette sticking out and went through my scrap fabrics. I found a floral rectangular scarf that my dear daughter saw fit to cut into when she was smaller. So I just cut another strip off and gathered one edge in with long stitches. I didn't even go all the way since I just needed a half-circle shape.

Stamps used:
Faithful Florals (GinaK designs)
Whimsical Wishes (GKD)

Materials used:
Tim Holtz distress ink: Crushed Olive
Tsukineko Brilliance Dew Drop: Pearlescent Poppy
Memento Tuxedo Black
Spellbinders Rose Creations
We R Memory Keepers brads: Glitter, Neutral
DP: Prima Marketing, Botanical Collection, "Beloved"
DP for flower: Scraps from Basic Grey papers
Solid paper for mounting: Tim Holtz Distress Paper "Victorian Velvet"
Ribbon: Ribbon Collection (South African)

  1. Very pretty card! I like the bold sentiment against the bouquet and the fabric is such a fun idea that I will have to try on the next card I don't have to mail. Lovely!
